Energy Star Certification
Associated Renewable Energy Star Certification services ensure that clients meet Energy Star Certification. We have partnered with the proven U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR program and offer a proven energy management strategy that measures current energy performance, defines the scope of the project, tracks savings, and rewards improvements. ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. With the help of ENERGY STAR, the United States saved enough energy in 2009 to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 30 million cars while saving nearly $17 billion on their utility bills.
Energy Star Rating
ENERGY STAR provides an energy performance rating on a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being the most energy efficient and 1 being the least. The score represents a percentile ranking compared to buildings of similar characteristics. Buildings that score 75 have proven that they perform better than 75% of all similar buildings nationwide. With a rating of 75 or above, a building is eligible for the ENERGY STAR Label. However, before the Label is awarded a Professional Engineer (PE) must perform a site visit and verify data and complete an application for the label.
Create Value in Your Building with Energy Star Label
ENERGY STAR qualified buildings use 35% less energy than average buildings, resulting in significant annual savings and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Achieving the ENERGY STAR label creates value with your facility:
1. ENERGY STAR buildings have on average 3.6 percent higher occupancy levels.
2. ENERGY STAR buildings are selling on average at $61 per square foot more than their peers.
3. ENERGY STAR buildings increase your asset value because energy efficient buildings can charge premium market value.
